Mike Watkins, MA
Michael Watkins has worked in media and marketing for more than 20 years at various levels in the corporate, higher education and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, he served as Director of Marketing for the Omaha Home for Boys before pursuing his own professional interests working exclusively with small nonprofits and businesses. In working with non-profits Michael has helped with case statements, newsletters, social media, and special event marketing.
Michael has been a longtime freelance writer, most notably for USA Swimming, but also for a variety of local, regional and national publications, websites and blogs. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism/mass communication from the University of Iowa and currently teaches online for two small colleges in western and central Iowa.
